Priya Anand one of the beautiful south Indian actress acted in Telugu as well as in Tamil Movies. Priya Anand born in Chennai and brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad, becoming fluent in Tamil and Telugu languages. Priya Anand is proficient in English and also knows Bengali, Hindi and Spanish languages. Priya Anand pursued her higher education in U.S and studied Communication and Journalism at University of Albany.

Since childhood Priya Anand was fascinated by films and developed an interest in cinemas, made her dreaming of getting into the film industry  for technical aspects of film making, but confesses she never thought of becoming an actress. After her higher education Priya Anand ventured into Modeling and appeared in various television commercials like Cadbury Dairy Milk, Prince Jewelery and Nutrine Maha Lacto.

These Television Commercials made her lucky and got her first debut in the Tamil film Pugaippadam. Due to delay of Pugaippadam, her first release was Vaamanan which was directed by Ahmed.Priya acted as simple girl next door (portray Divya) with whom the hero Jai falls in love. Due to Yuvan Shankar Raja musical hit the film had a big opening but latter say-tilled as an average at Chennai box office. Pugaippadam was released in 2010 revolved around seven collage students friendship and Priya Anand played one of the seven roles as Malayali Christain named Shiney George. This film was commercially unsuccessful.Then she acted in Telugu Movie directed by Shaker Kammula a Political drama Leader. Her appearance in the movie was very limited but through her performance earned positive reviews and fame. This movie Leader was a critical success in Telugu Industry. Next comes the Dil Raju produced family entertainer Rama Rama Krishna Krishna, in which Priya Anand has filled the glamor quotient. She is awesome and has given a nice performance as lover. Her next upcoming movie in 2011 is a bilingual Tamil-Telugu project directed by Jayendra with stunning hero Siddharth in 180. Her upcoming movie is Vettai Mannan directed by Nelson is a Trilingual film which will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi starting Simbu and Jai.It is expected to be release in 2012.
